Evaluation Conclusion
Throughout this project we not only learned just what DHM projects are, but we were able to learn about the history of the Holocaust in Florence, Italy. We have learned about the tools the researchers used for this project, like the Open Archival Information System (OAIS), specifically xDams platform, and the Linked Open Data Cloud. These tools are used in relation to the tools used for studying Digital Humanities by publishing data for the users, analyzing the text for accuracy, and managing the data. We learned how these tools were used in this project, specifically the OAIS. We also learned about how this project connects to our values of openness, collaboration, experimentation, and connectedness in Digital Humanities. All of these values can connect to our studies of the holocaust, but openness specifically can be a clear and obvious value taken place in holocaust studies.
