The most important tool used for this project would be the Open Archival Information System, specifically the xDams platform, because it is the place where absolutely all the data is preserved over many years, but still making it accessible to users for the most accurate and up to date information to this day. This system not only stores and provides the history of a topic, but ensures that topic also has accurate information for current and future users. These archives that are preserved help us grasp a deeper understanding of other cultures and our own. The OAIS simply is the management of information received, analyzed and checked that is 100% true and helpful information being published for the users.
Another tool that is very crucial would be the Linked Open Data Cloud. The Linked Open Data Cloud allows sharing and connecting of data with other resources, allowing this data to expand across multiple platforms, making it accessible to even more users. This sharing of data allows opportunities for questions to be formed about the research and data, which then can allow more information being provided for those questions, making it more complex with depth, rather than what just traditional databases would provide for you.

Both these tools are used to study digital humanities because publishing, text analysis, and data management are all tools used to study Digital Humanities, as well as all the tools used in this project, specifically these two tools. The connections between the different data being published, the texts being checked for accuracy before being published for the users, and the data management that the OAIS uses relates it to DH.
