The Digital Ghost Hunt coincides with four stand-out values aligning with Digital Humanities.
- Openness: The project is committed to providing open access regarding the science and data behind the student’s success. The code is publicly accessible on Github.
- Transparency: The project reports out who contributed what to the overall project. The project team, junior agents and characters who helped bring the immersive Ghost Hunt experience to life are all recognized on the page under project team and characters.
- Collaborative: There’s a willingness to work with creative industries to further the project. They hired actors for the live performance at the “haunted” Battérsea Arts Centre.
- Skills Development: The Digital Ghost Hunt provides students with the tools and means to think and produce work like a programmer: a paranormal detector made from two microcomputers, a Raspberry Pi and a Micro:bit.
