The Digital Ghost Hunt used the SEEK Ghost Detector to encourage an interest in programming for young children through the guise of an interactive entertainment experience. By creating a strange and handmade device that almost acts like a toy, the creators of this ARG brought children into the world of programming by meeting them at their developmental level. Fun, bright lights would should up on the device when children were prompted to interact with a specific event in the game, and through this an imaginative world would develop, an intersect between real world tools (like the Raspberry Pi that powers the device) and an almost theatrical space that was made up of actors in costumes and various set designs for the children to walk into.

To go into more specific detail, the actual narrative created by the game was done in a pseudo-class setting over the course of a few weeks. During the first session, children met with the character Undersecretary Quill, giving them a series of coding challenges that the children would interact with, all with the same focus on interactivity between the device and the environment. Two weeks later, the children would arrive at the Battersea Art center, starting with a live stage performance, followed by the children again investigating their environment with their SEEK devices.
