Tools & Methods
The Streetscape Palimpsest uses ArcGIS StoryMaps as its main tool throughout the project. A StoryMap is an interactive display of geographic information that allows users to tell stories and answer questions. The Project utilizes this tool to show visually how Georgia Avenue in Atlanta has transformed due to gentrification and development.
Digital Humanities can make use of story maps to visually show geographic, historical, literary, and cultural data. Making this data more accessible and interactive for researchers in the field due to the ease of using StoryMaps.
