Sociology is the scientific study of human society that focuses on society, human social behavior, patterns of social relationships, social interaction, and aspects of culture associated with everyday life (Wikipedia). The subject focuses on society and how individuals interact with one another within the world.

Sociology uses experiments, where studies are performed to obtain information and data on a particular subject. These experiments can be used to expand on concepts such as gender, religion, social class, and economy. Additionally, sociology is interested in both, qualitative and quantitative experiments.

Culture connects to sociology due to the role it holds in shaping how people perceive the world and how they choose to act within it, which is the sole focus of sociology.  Culture is recognized as a key factor influencing people’s behaviors, values, and decision-making processes, as it helps guide how they interact with society and navigate social norms.
