Christiane Klapisch-Zuber, Béatrice Marin, and Nicolas Veysset are historians who played a key role in preparing and publishing the digitized version of the 1427–1430 Florentine Catasto.
Their work, titled “Le catasto florentin de 1427-1430: présentation générale de l’enquête et du code” provided the standardized dataset that forms the core of the Catasto Chronicles project.
They carefully transcribed and structured the original tax records, making the complex historical data accessible for digital analysis and mapping.
Without their efforts in building this dataset, the Catasto Chronicles would not have been possible, as their work turned handwritten archives into usable digital sources for modern research.
