Using digital tools to share real stories in a clear and respectful way is a best practice in Digital Humanities, and that’s what our project does. We work with families who have been separated by ICE and use technology to help others understand what they are going through. The project uses photos, maps and online stories to link facts with feelings. This makes people feel more empathy and think more deeply about social justice. Our project meets the goals and values of Digital Humanities by using digital storytelling to teach and motivate others. It shows how technology can be used to spread the word and have a good effect on culture.
