The site serves to benefit the main audiences of neighbors and policymakers through shared reporting, visualizations, and accessible, public nationwide eviction data. Eviction Lab researchers anticipate that this data will inform neighbors and policymakers respectively to implement change through conduct and legislation.

In raising awareness, everyday neighbors’ public knowledge on helping alleviate the eviction crisis and family homelessness will affect neighborly relationships and point living areas toward groups that are more likely to be targeted. Simultaneously, the data effectively sheds light on topics policymakers hold the power to change on a preventative level. In their stance on nationwide housing insecurity, especially for low-income families, policymakers can utilize provided data to change and implement laws in improving residential security while reducing overall poverty.
