In 2014, Alise Tifentale from The Graduate Center, CUNY, wrote and article entitled, Making sense of the “Masturbation of Self-Image” and the “Virtual Mini-Me”. In her essay she introduces the Selfiecity project and shares their quantitative and qualitative data. Tifentale also explains the selfie phenomenon and effect the internet has on how we analyze photos and selfies. She also states how selfies can be important to how we all portray ourselves and how we view the internet and media. This article does not relate to digital humanities as this article is covering the project and analyzing the data.
