J. Walter Thompson Advertising America is a digital database of advertising and marketing projects of the past. These archives go back as far as 1887. One of their projects showcases a creative presentation displaying potential advertisements for White Castle in 1999. These range from television commercials, to radio ads, to mock storyboards.
The image shown below is an example of a poster ad, with the goal of diminishing other burger joints who have larger portions but still don’t taste as good as White Castle.

The following image is an example of a storyboard, which is a tool used in the beginning stages of commercial development. The 12 illustrations represent different scenes in a potential White Castle television ad. Throughout the project there are several of these storyboards shown, oftentimes displaying similar themes with a minuet change in execution.
