'WCU' spelled out by students in the quad

The WCU Comics in the Special Collections Project exists for all members of the WCU community, from prospective students to alumni to faculty and beyond. It also exists for comic collectors to browse what the University has and to collect data on what issues may or may not be present.

Alongside this, the history of comic books is important and readers should be able to quickly and accurately find them in a database. As a medium it’s important for scholars and students to be able to do such a thing. Also, comics are quickly becoming a facet of mainstream literary scholarship and it’s important to cater to scholars of them.

This project will meet both a casual and serious user’s needs both in terms of ease of use (casual) and wealth of information (serious).
