A tool that aided in the creation of this project was the Ember JavaScript framework, which helped make the website interactive.
The flower acts as a central navigation metaphor. It is clickable and draggable, encouraging visitors to explore the site intuitively rather than through static menus.
Each petal represents an individual enslaved person, and when a user clicks on a petal, Ember loads that person’s archival information on the right-hand side of the screen.
