To show how the social world of Peoria shaped Richard Pryor’s evolution as an artist and truth-teller about American race relations.
This project is for the audience that is unfamiliar with Peoria and invites them to explore racial and economic divisions influenced Pryor’s life and work. This connects to the goals of digital humanities in its aim to use technology to study and share human culture, making human histories accessible through visualization.
