One digital tool that is used by Miljanovic in his project is GitHub. GitHub is a proprietary developer platform that allows developers to create, store, manage, and share their code. The cool thing about it is if someone makes their project public another person can take it and make changes to whatever they want. This is a major tool used throughout the Computer Science community, and Miljanovic is no exception using it to upload the files for GidgetML.
GidgetML being public on GitHub means that literally anyone can go in and access the files to run the program to try it out. But it also allows someone to take the foundation that was set to use machine learning to make their own game adaptive to the player. This is done through GitHub’s forking and pull requests, which allows users to experiment freely and submit their changes back to the original code for review. It creates a really cool collaborative process that can turn a singular project into a shared learning experience for the entire user base.

Digital Humanities Relation
GitHub as a tool relates to Digital Humanities because it follows a lot of values and goals that DH has. For example, it promotes openness and publishing data because it provides all of the information of a project. Plus the pull/fork features help build collaborative efforts in the community.
Not only that, but Digital Humanities does use GitHub to host projects, develop software, write community documentation, and websites. So it is safe to say that GitHub is a powerful tool for numerous tasks in both the Digital Humanities and Computer Science.
