SSD does in fact use best practices throughout their project. They are very well documented and have a clear goal that they’re aiming towards. They have no data concerns since they don’t collect any data. Their findings are presented in a way that is easy to understand. All in all, Surveillance Self-Defense is a good example of best practices in digital humanities projects.
