Shared values between BeforeWCU and the Digital Humanities:
- Collaboration: To gather the necessary data needed for BeforeWCU, open and streamlined collaboration between scholars, libraries, and programmers would be essential in accomplishing this goal. Ideally, this project would be open to the public to contribute to, with WCU students and faculty encouraged to lead and support the required historical research and technical innovation demanded by this project.
- Diversity: As a project promoting the recognition and support of a local Indigenous people – specifically the Lenape – BeforeWCU champions diversity by educating the (mostly white) WCU community on lasting effects of colonialism promoted by the University.
