Values of the Secret Annex
A huge part of the project is the collaboration that took to create it.
The VR version was created by “the Anne Frank House, Force Field VR, and Oculus.” The Anne Frank House is the museum and Force Field VR is a “development studios dedicated solely to developing state of the art Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)” based in Amsterdam. Oculus is where the app is available and the devices that are used to access the virtual tour. The collaboration between all three groups combined “cutting-edge visualization technology and extensive historical research.”

The website version was created by “IN10 and Maykin.” One of the developers of the website version are“DOOR, the culture label of the Dutch creative digital agency IN10.”

Maykin Media “develops webservices, APIs and web applications.” Maykin Media is also based in the Netherlands. The Anne Frank Foundation, the foundation that runs the Anne Frank House, “contacted Maykin to implement a new website for annefrank.org based on a fresh new design from IN10.”
Is It Compatible?
I think that that the collaboration shown in the creation of both the VR version and the website version of the Secret Annex goes well with the value of collaboration in Digital Humanities. Each company played an important part in the creation of the Secret Annex and without one of the groups, the Secret Annex wouldn’t be the same. Plus, the acknowledgement of the collaboration that happened to create the Secret Annex is something that is important to Digital Humanities.
