Audience & Peer Projects
Audience
The targeted audience for this project is students that attend American University in Washington, DC. These students are the intended audience because the project is centered around learning about the campus and its important history. Someone who attends this university may find this project extremely beneficial. Another group that may find this project beneficial are students that are reviewing DH projects. The creators of EagleCaching made it clear and straight to the point their intended audience are the students.

Peer Projects
There are many projects that are similar to Eaglecaching. For example at The University of Illinois their library set up a challenge involving geocaching. The challenge is very similar to the one at American University. Its purpose was to plant clues around the campus and have the students answer questions about what they find at those specific locations to help collect geographical information, which was presented at GIS day.

Another similar project is Building History The purpose of Building History is to show how the architecture of Illinois Institute of Technology has changed over the years. EagleCaching doesn’t compare to it’s peer project Building History. Building History is much more detailed and provides better visualization of their project. This project is also done by the school’s library.

One major difference between these two peer projects and EagleCaching is the people who contributed to the project. The two peer projects were done by their school’s library while EagleCaching was done by students that attend the university. The time frame in which the projects were done is another major difference is it was done in 15 weeks compared to the other two projects were done in a longer time frame.
