In conclusion, The American Yawp project is a great digital humanities project. It won a digital humanities award in 2014, which many people vote on, for “Best use of DH for public engagement.” The site is great for values because it includes openness and collaboration, although it is bad for methodology because they do not include it anywhere on the site. It is also great for their audience, which would include college students and historians looking to learn about American history in an unbiased way. The main reason the American Yawp was created was so that there would be a huge, open ended, and free textbook full of different people’s voices and perspectives to learn about American history.
