The preservation and protection of cultural history and data is a key goal of the digital humanities. Art featured from people such as Johannes Vingboons (1664) in the colonial era, to factories built by Nicholas Whyte (1870), the historic imagery slideshows weave through time, preserving and presenting the visual evolution of NYC.
