The project will use publicly available datasets related to Philadelphia public schools. These include funding data, demographic information, enrollment numbers, etc.
All input data will be cleaned, organized, and transcribed so it can be displayed accurately on an interactive map.
The main output will be an interactive digital map that allows users to explore school funding patterns across Philadelphia.
The map will include mini side panels with text that explain trends visible in the data, a comparison tool that allows you view multiple schools’ data in the same window, and a key in the top left corner that articulates the map and all its symbols and colors.
