The social justice that is trying to be conveyed is to uncover connections that people may not have known existed. The community who helped forge this site were all aspiring to find a welcoming, and informative way for people to learn about the jazz community, and the people who had the most impact on the culture.
What this tool has done.
This tool has done much more than just serving as a warm welcoming to the backgrounds of some of the most impactful jazz creators. This site also aimed to bring exposure to the lesser-known connections that had shaped jazz and the groups in jazz to what it is today bringing those unrecognized pathfinders the social justice they had deserved. While bringing social justice is a huge plus to this site and all the people it benefited it also led to a lot more than just social justices. The cultural impact of this tool is massive because it helps unearth the roots from where jazz originated. With its roots heavily originating in the African American culture and its backgrounds in their history of jazz’s origins.
