The two main goals of this digital project are not openly stated anywhere within the project. Though it can be inferred that the main goals are to share and preserve human culture.
The natural goals that they do have listed are.
- “To uncover meaningful connections between documents and data related to the personal and professional lives of jazz artists.”
- “To develop broadly applicable tools and methods for working with Linked Open Data.”
Goals and Relations
These goals shine through due to the ways that they not also share the connections, and links between different pillars within the jazz community. Though they also link to databases that are open sourced that encourage the growth and development of the information on their page. Cohousing anyone interested in investigating the source to add any, and all information they can offer on the topic and the person in question.
Audience
This site of course helps direct both the jazz community as well as the open public to these sources allowing for an open flow of information between all groups within the medium.
Another group this could be directed towards is the African American community as well due to how heavily jazz is entwined with African American culture and the amount of background that could possibly be contributed.
