One of the main digital tools that are used in the making of The Virtual MLK Project was the Unity Game Engine.
The Unity Game Engine is what is used in video games to create, test, launch games and interactive experiences. The Virtual MLK Project used the Unity Game Engine to create an image of MLK at the podium of the White Rock Baptist Church. Without this tool there would have been no way of seeing how Martin Luther King Jr. animated himself at the podium during his speech.
The Unity Game Engine was also used in creating the audience and the layout of the White Rock Church to make the imagery of the speech as close to how it was back in 1960.

The digital tool of Unity can link directly into the discipline of digital humanities through its unique technology to immerse people into interactive visualizations, immersive story telling, and allowing for more in depth analyzing of historical artifacts.
