Summary of Tools
“Petitioning For Freedom” combines digital archiving, database systems, and web design tools to organize and present its data to the public. The main ones shared by the project page are TEI XML, Airtable, Datura, Orchid, and Apium.
Airtable

Airtable is a software that combines aspects of databases and spreadsheets. It allows users to dynamically link multiple spreadsheets into a singular base. Airtable is used for presenting data.
In this project, researchers entered information about each case, person, document, etc. into their “base”. This base then allowed for compound queries and filters to get search results,
Outside of project management and “Petitioning for Freedom”, Airtable is used within sales, marketing, and e commerce.
Documentation

The tools and methodologies are pretty well documented. There is a section of the project page on University of Nebraska’s CDRH website that lists and links all tools utilized. Many links lead to a GitHub page, a platform that allows developers to manage and share code, that explain further. Some lead to outside websites that link to the tool itself.
Link to Digital Humanities
Airtable, as well as other tools used in this project, could absolutely have uses in other Digital Humanities projects. There is always some form of data that needs to be presented, and Airtable assists with that as well as making it dynamic through all the changes a project will inevitably go through.
