Overall, his project does meet best practices, although it is not a flawless example of a digital humanities project that showcases best practices. It does a great job of presenting its data and making it simple and effective for the audience. Those viewing the maps, analyses, and all information featured are informed and educated on the topic of redlining. The historical context of redlining, the ways it has affected the groups it serves to oppress, and how it stands today are all focused on effectively. Between the process of collecting and analyzing the data, the presentation of it, and the accessibility of the project, this is a project that takes into account and values digital humanities best practices. However, the project does not do an effective job of incorporating the best practices of portraying the methodology. The methods themselves are good, but the project doesn’t specifically tell the audience what they are, and it is left up to the viewer, so that does not follow best practices. So, the methodology could use some work, but otherwise, best practices are generally met.
