Diversity is a research value in this project, and also a value of digital humanities itself that aligns heavily with the goals of this project. The historical context of redlining is rooted in exclusion, since it was used to discriminate against certain groups, so this project serves as an attempt to have an inclusive and diverse research stance, attempting to reverse the effects of redlining through education. Diversity is a common theme in this project, as each statistic accounts for the literal diversity of an area, accounting it in their analysis. In a less literal, definition-based sense, this project prioritizes many kinds of diverse communities around the country and shares their history, as well as how the areas appear today. These values are of extreme importance to the basis of this project and are a direct parallel to it.
