Research Value

A key research value in the project Borderlands Archive History is inclusivity. In the project it says

The archive grows through community collaboration, where every story is an act of shared authorship.

This means they value the voices and stories from people living in borderland regions and they want to have them represented fairly. The project practices inclusivity by working with local communities and different people to collect there history, photographs, and other personal items. This allows them to help choose how the materials are shared and interpreted.

Link to digital humanities

This value inclusivity connects to Digital Humanities because it uses digital tools like digital humanities. The tools used in the project make peoples stories accessible to a a lot of people. Using digital tools in the project helps include different voices, languages, and perspectives, so the archive becomes available to all rather than controlled just by researchers. Inclusivity for Digital Humanities means making sure that different people, cultures, and voices have a chance to share and access knowledge, even those who’s information has been left out.
