Goals
According to BAC website in the section entitled mission it says
BAC’s goal is to create and support interdisciplinary alliances and communities across borders.
More specifically the goal of BAC is described as
Borderlands Archives Cartography (BAC) is dedicated to locate, map, and facilitate the access of borderland periodicals.
BAC goal is to map, they want to put these archives on a map to show how many stories are told in the same general area, the U.S. and Mexico border. The project goal is for border natives and people surrounding the border it is intended to help them hear and share there stories that have yet top been heard.
To meet the goal BAC has collected data from hundreds of newspapers that were published in the borderlands between 1808 and 1930. All which they categorized and put on a interactive map to track and explore.
