Documenting the now allows people from these communities to share their stories and experiences in their own words. This helps break the silence that often surround the experiences of these marginalized groups.
- Exposing Injustice : This platform provides real-time evidence on various injustices. These shared documents in both real-time and artifacts can expose the truth and shed lights on these events of injustice in ways that cant be easily dismissed, deleted or manipulated.
- Reframing Social Issues : By documenting and preserving these experiences through this program, people are able to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions about their communities, and personally explain their experiences.
- Connecting and Advocating : Through documented hashtags, archives, live streams, posts, etc the documentation of events such as protests, strikes or acts of resistance provide a sense of urgency and collective action. People from various backgrounds can learn about shared experiences, or learn what others may have went through and how to aid these individuals.
