A goal from our projects is to understand social media and the effects it has on its users. Similarly, our publication “The Impact of Social Media on the Mental Health of Adolescents and Young Adults: A Systematic Review” has a goal of researching the effects of social media on the younger demographic. A way to meet this goal is to conduct surveys like how the projects we used did. By gathering data from the younger demographic of social media users, we would have a better understanding of its impact.
Similarly, a goal of digital humanities is to understand social dynamics which goes along with our project. With the help of digital humanities, we have a better understanding of how individuals and groups interact, change, and are influenced with social media.
