Our first project, “Digital Society Project”, uses a variety of digital tools and methods including surveys and polls. The survey contains questions pertaining to the political environment of the internet and social media. These resources allow us to understand how technology influences social interactions and relationships as well as the relationship between politics and social media around the world.
Our second project we used, “SelfieCity”, uses image analysis as their digital tools and methods. The creators created datasets and image plots by gathering tens of thousands of selfies from different cities across the world and analyzing them. This project helps us understand different social trends and the impact social media has on different communities.

The digital tools and methods in both “Digital Society Project” and “SelfieCity” show the key aspects of digital humanities. With the use of the surveys, polls and image analysis, these projects teach people on our understanding of human experiences with the digital world.
