Here are the Websites we used to help conduct this project and our summary:
Bateman shows that understanding digital media requires combing semiotics, communication theory, and computational methods, demonstrating that modern literacy and media analysis depend on interdisciplinary collaboration. Baron’s research on digital reading further reveals how technology reshapes attention, comprehension, and cultural reading practices, issues that require both humanistic interpretation and digital analysis. Together, these publications support the idea that Communication Studies and Digital Humanities must work jointly to understand how digital media transform literacy, culture, and communication.
