We’re Team Diet Coke, and our group Project is about what sets TACTik apart is its comparative approach to Digital Media and the Digital Humanities. We treat TikTok not just as a “new medium” to be observed, but as a complex digital archive that requires the computational rigor of the Digital Humanities to decode. By blending media sociology with DH-inspired multimodal analysis, we can map how the technical affordances of an app, its algorithms, and editing tools. Directly reshaping human concepts such as “credibility” and “truth.”
