One goal of the Games & Colonialism project is to understand what games about colonialism can teach us about history and society today. The researchers analyze how colonialism is shown in board games and what it means when historical events are turned into games. Another goal is to create games that explore colonialism from different cultural perspectives. Through workshops, the project involves people affected by colonialism in creating games. This connects to the Digital Humanities goal of analyzing cultural information. By examining colonialism-themed board games, researchers can better understand how games represent history, culture, and society.
