After comparing Digital Humanities and video games, I found that the two areas have several ways they can connect. Both use digital technology to create and explore ideas. Video games can also be studied as cultural objects because they can include storytelling, art, music, history, and different types of human interaction.

The project I examined, Games & Colonialism, shows how video games can be used to explore history, culture, and society. The project looks at colonialism-themed games and how games can present historical events and create opportunities for cultural engagement.

The goals and values I discussed also show connections between the two areas. Video game development focuses on creating interactive experiences, while Digital Humanities can use interactive technology to help people explore and understand information. Creativity is also important to both areas because technology can be used to create new ways of presenting ideas and information.

Overall, Digital Humanities and video games have opportunities to work together in research and creative projects. Digital Humanities can provide ways to study and analyze video games, while video games can provide interactive ways to explore culture, history, and other human experiences. These connections show that the two areas can complement each other.
