Digital Humanities
Digital Humanities (DH) is a field that uses digital tools and technology to study, preserve, and share human culture. Researchers can use computers, websites, and other digital tools to analyze cultural information and make it available to the public. Digital Humanities has several goals, including analyzing cultural information, preserving cultural materials, and sharing research with others.

DH projects often involve collaboration between people, experimentation with new ideas, and openness so that others can access and learn from the work. Digital Humanities projects also have important values, including collaboration, experimentation, openness, diversity, and transparency. These values help researchers work together, explore new methods, and clearly communicate how their projects are created and what they discover.

Digital Humanities projects study human culture, history, literature, and society by using digital tools and technology. These projects allow researchers to analyze historical documents, examine cultural information, identify patterns in data, and share their findings with the public. Through digital projects, researchers can explore questions about human experiences and understand how culture and society have changed over time.

Video games
Video games combine technology, stories, art, music, and interactive experiences. Video game studies examines games by looking at their stories, characters, gameplay, design, and effects on people and culture. Researchers can study games by playing them, analyzing how they work, making choices, exploring their worlds, and examining the experiences they create for players. Video game culture also includes watching streamers on Twitch and YouTube, watching esports, and interacting with other players online. Streamers can influence which games people play and how they think about them. Online gaming communities also allow people to share experiences and make friends. Researchers study games, players, and streamers to understand how gaming affects people and society. Games can also be used for education, storytelling, and sharing ideas. One example of how games connect to culture is the Games & Colonialism project from the MIT Game Lab. Researchers examine colonialism-themed board games to understand how they represent history and relate to society today. This shows that games are not just entertainment; they can also help people explore history, culture, and important social issues.
