The Whiskey Rebellion Project is a short but very informative and effective Digital Humanities Project. The strengths of this project are that it is easy to maneuver and highly interactive, as proven with the interactive timeline, map, and audio tour. Another strength is that it is focused sole on one event. This project specifically analyzes the Whiskey Rebellion and nothing else. Therefore it is very descriptive of this insurrection and the events that took place during it.
The downfall, or most prevalent criticism of this project, is the fact that this project is very short. There are only 33 Items found in this project. That is incredible considering the fact that this rebellion lasted over three years. While this project is very methodical with its presentation and very descriptive of the events of the Whiskey Rebellion, upon further evaluation however, one can surmise that this project feels incomplete. It feels as if it was rushed, as more details of the Whiskey Rebellion could have been included in this project.
In conclusion, even though this project is small and short, it is a very good Digital Humanities Project. Those interested in the Digital Humanities may be disappointed with the shortcomings of this project, however, those who are primarily interested in the Whiskey Rebellion will find this to be a useful and impressive project.
