West Chester University offers the antithesis of variety in regards to dining options for Students who reside on campus. DUBC Food offers a resolution to this, by providing students with more dining options which can be provided by vendors all throughout the borough. The Project is to be encompassed within a platform that can verify University affiliates & vendors to have access, with communication, accessibility to review data. and chat amongst customer and vendor, mobile ordering as well as balance tracking. The meal plan is to consist of 10 meals a week for a 15 week interval, for a total of $1400 ($9.33 per meal).

The Platform will utilize Student ID numbers to verify Student users and will contract vendors giving them access on an individual basis. The following Vendors are to be contracted to provide their meals to Borough Meal Plan: Mas, Chipotle, Fire, Barnaby’s, Saloon 151, Ryan’s Pub, Sedona Taphouse & Amores. Although some of these restaurants are chains, their availability within the Meal Plan is only accessible within the Borough of West Chester. The Meal Plans will only be available during the Fall and Spring Semesters, with no roll over per semester (roll over does occur within a semesters interval, but is terminated once the semester is over). The Meal Plan can be paid for on our platform, with either one or two semester meal plans available at a time.

The Project can both be a significant for Student enjoyment as well as vendor business. An added variety to Student Dining will certainly boost a student’s availability for variety, beyond the mundane services provided by West Chester University. Outside of student benefit, it can be inferred that such a meal plan would provide greater exposure to vendors inside of the West Chester Borough. With 10 Meals a week, there are opportunities for vendors to be directly paid on the weekend as a result of exposure and preference garnered from their distribution within the meal plan.
