EarlyPrint‘s website does not feature a summative white page or report; rather, it features several how-to guides on how to optimize use of the project’s search tools, metadata, and quantitative analysis tools. Additionally, one of the project’s leaders, Martin Mueller, posted a short blog about the background of the project, what it seeks to accomplish, and future goals for EarlyPrint. The blog is titled “What is New About the EarlyPrint Library?” and is excerpted below:

Ultimately, the lack of an official white page or organized documentation regarding the creation of the project as a whole – including a self-assessment of results – does not align with the value of openness, which would otherwise allow other scholars to repeat and adapt EarlyPrint’s developmental process to other projects within digital publishing.
