This project is comprised of three goals. The first goal of the project is first create:
- An accesible place for marveling and playing with the coins.
The website is very easy to use, operable and it’s very fun. It is almost like you are playing a game of knowledge, and educating yourself about the culture of each coin. Each coin has a rich history, richer than the other and it can be fun to marvel at the details and what makes each coin different from the other.
The second goal of the project is:
- To conserve the coins.
Most of the coins in the project are old and priceless. Having the opportunity to be able to display is important for record keeping and honoring these old coins.
The third goal of the project is:
- Interest
Allowing the use of the website to be used by everyday scholars and those who have an interest.
At the end of the day, coins play a big part in our culture and coins still have meaning today. It is still money at the end of the day and as humans, we love money. This project operates as a digital muesum for those everyday scholars and interested spectators.
