This project, similar to Yelp, establishes a platform where students and professors share study guides, lecture notes, and academic resources. Like Yelp’s model, users are motivated by monetary rewards, ensuring a steady stream of content. However, unlike Yelp, which focuses on business reviews, this project is tailored for West Chester University students, providing access to academic materials. It also features a rating system to assess the reliability of contributed content, enhancing its value to the university community.
This project shares similarities with RateMyProfessor in user-generated content and incentivization, akin to how students rate professors. Users contribute study materials like guides and notes, with search and download features for accessibility. However, while RateMyProfessor evaluates individual professors, this project focuses on providing study resources for West Chester University students, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among peers.
