This project is filled with many Digital Humanities research values such as accessibility, ethical data use, and community engagement. By observing dining space traffic and making a real-time capacity percentage, campus food access becomes much more student-friendly and promote less overcrowding for dining management. Students with little free time or limited options will be guided. Ethical data use is very important as well. All data collected is anonymous and transparent in purpose, showing DH research values of responsible digital infrastructure. Finally, the project defines DH’s interdisciplinary and value by mixing technical design with sociocultural analysis through data storytelling. As a result, these research values all used digital tools to boost student life and improve the overall campus well-being.
