Overview of Proposal

WCU Dining Hall/Sykes Live Capacity Meter and Line Tracker

This project proposes a digital system that displays real-time dining hall occupancy and shows wait times for dining around campus. The system will be an app/website where people will be tallied by door or by staff to track wait times and capacity.

Caleb Strawhecker and Matthew Knight created this project, which was made for students at WCU. It is located and is being proposed for West Chester University in PA at all food locations, including the dining hall. This project is being proposed on December 9th, 2025.

The significance of this project includes reduced waiting time for students, enhancing the student experience and satisfaction. Students with tight schedules can plan more efficiently, and it encourages the use of campus resources.
