The Scottish Witchcraft Database is a great one to review in terms of location, but not so much so in terms of space or place. The aim of this project is to give a visualization of the locations for people who aren’t from the area. Location is the biggest because it gives the locations of where witches lived all around Scotland. It also gives the locations of detention centers where the accused witches were held, where the trials were held, and also where the deaths of the tried witches occurred. The residences of people associated with witches is also available on the site.
The ability to navigate through the site is quite easy, with each link being clickable and leading to somewhere else. While going through the site, one can click on the witch icons, which represent different witches and find different information about them such as their name, occupation, and residence. Some of the witch icons are different colors, each color representing the gender of the witches in that area; orange represents female witches, blue represents male witches, and purple represents both genders.
