The digital project I chose was the cities and memory project. This projected started in 2015 and is on going till this day. The main goal of this project is to map the world in a way it has never been mapped before, with sound. The project currently has over 7,000 recordings ranging between 130 different countries. This way maps don’t have to be just visual, but they can also be sounds.
This project does a few thing very well in my eyes. My favorite part about this entire project is the sound map, this is where all of the recordings are mapped based on where the recording was taken. I really like how there can be multiple recordings from very similar areas, but because of the time they are recorded they sound much different from other’s.
