Cities and Memory shows how geography and Digital Humanities can work together to explore human experience, memory, and place. Geography helps us understand spaces, environments, and how people relate to them, while DH adds digital, creative, and collaborative tools to make this knowledge interactive and accessible. By combining field recordings, digital maps, and artistic remixes, the project lets anyone contribute and engage. Like digital geographies during COVID-19, it shows that studying places is not just about physical locations but also about how people experience and remember them. The project highlights how combining geography and technology can reveal the diversity of human experiences worldwide.
