During Dr. Kenton Rambsy’s time as a professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, he was working on many digital humanities projects. But for this single project, it was published in January of 2018. The project took about two years to complete as it start date was in the mid 2016’s.
The result of the “TheJayZMixtape” illisturates how Hip Hop can be studied as literature and data, and not just entertainment. It leaves the audience with a much deeper, and interactive way of really understanding Jay Z and the strong impact that he had, not just on the African American community, but the whole world.
