There were plenty of methods taken with data and tools to create TheJayZMixtape. Data collection, data organization, text analysis, data publishing & visualization were all methods used. A vast majority of the information used this project were from Genius. Important details such as featured artists, release dates, and more were from different databases.
The documentation of this project was very creative. Using a plethora of digital tools such as Scalar, Voyant Tools, and Genius. It showed how each one of these sources played a big role in the completion of this project. All together, the projects documentation is very effective and supports it’s goals. As well as aligning with the values of digital humanities. Collaboration, data transparency, and easy accessibility, made it a success.
